Course Description
At the end of the course, delegates will have acquired a good
understanding of the major airborne UAV avionic functions and systems and
will be able to select appropriate technologies and products for a broad
range of functional requirements.Delegates will be allowed to use the UAV avionics provided during the course to completely understand how to use them for their respective projects and missions.

- Radio navigational aids; direction finding, VOR, DME, NDB, ILS, marker beacon
- Global positioning system (GPS)
- Inertial navigation systems (INS)
- Radar – Pulsed and continuous wave, SAR
- UAV Databuses: basic concepts
- Fly-by-wire: Basic principles and UAV case study
- Airborne surveillance systems: ACAS and TAWS
- UAV Airborne surveillance systems - the Complete Payload System
- UAV Avionic system life cycle and design/procurement considerations
- UAV Fault tolerant design
- UAV Avionics function design and safety

Course Delivery
This 10 day course includes lectures, discussion and sessions, demonstrations and hands-on experience, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. A visit to an UAV maintenance base is arranged depending on the discretion of industrial hosts. All delegates will receive a Certificate of Attendance upon completion of this course.
