Course Description

One of the challenges of using Jet Turbine Engine for Unmanned Vehicles is controlling it. The Jet Engine behaves differently from a Piston Engine. During actual mission, this unique behavior can be a major problem. One instant is that the thrust produced by the jet engine is not instantaneous with respect to command. Time it wrongly, the aircraft may not recover fast enough to pull from a dive or a bank. This is not the only issue. To use the Jet Engine with the unmanned autopilot system requires delicate tuning process. It is important to integrate the mathematical model of the engine characteristics, with the mathematical model of the unmanned system, to ensure proper control laws are issued to the autopilot system. This course provides a wonderful opportunity for instructors to show and discuss these issues based on working experience, knowledge and academic background.

Course Delivery

This 10 day course includes lectures, discussion and sessions, demonstrations and hands-on experience. Courses will take place around Selangor and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Visits to relevant sites will be arranged throughout the course. All delegates will receive a Certificate of Attendance upon completion of this course.
